The current state: no affiliate links, no ads, no sponsorships
As of the date above, The Travel Tell contains no affiliate links, no display advertising, and no sponsored content. Nothing on this site currently earns us a commission, and no company has paid for placement, reviews, or mentions. We state this plainly because many travel sites monetize invisibly, and we would rather tell you the truth about where we are.
If that changes
If we introduce affiliate links, advertising, or sponsored content in the future, we will:
- Update this page before or at the same time the first such link or placement goes live, describing which programs we participate in
- Clearly label sponsored content where it appears
- Never let a commission decide a recommendation — if a product or service isn't worth your money, a referral fee won't change our answer
What affiliate links would mean
An affiliate link means that if you click it and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Regulators (such as the U.S. FTC) require this to be disclosed, and we agree with the requirement.
